President Donald Trump called four Republican U.S. senators “disloyal” for their recent votes after they rejected his desire to impose steep additional tariffs on Canadian imports early on Wednesday morning.

Trump claimed in a long social media post just before 1 a.m. on Wednesday that it has been “extremely difficult” to deal with mavericks in the GOP, particularly those who are more interested in making a point or settling old scores than sticking together.
