A recently resurfaced clip of Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, a member of the progressive “Squad,” has sparked intense backlash on social media this week, with conservatives criticizing her for past comments about the “radicalization of White men.”

“I would say our country should be more fearful of White men across our country, because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country,” Omar stated in a 2018 interview with Al-Jazeera, where she discussed domestic terrorism threats in the U.S. in response to a question about the threat of “jihadism.”

“And so if fear was the driving force of policies to keep America safe, Americans safe inside of this country, we should be profiling, monitoring, and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men,” she continued.
