MAGA supporters are targeting one of the longest-serving Republicans in the U.S. Senate after he openly questioned the Trump administration’s justification for canceling the visas of many college students in his state.

Sen. James Lankford (R‑OK), who was elected to his current position after serving in the U.S. House from 2011 to 2015, voiced his concerns in a local TV interview, claiming that officials were unable to locate “any” disciplinary report on at least one Oklahoma student who received notification from the State Department that their visa had been revoked.

“Some of them, we understand, there were some discipline problems on campus,” he said. “But there’s a couple students – I won’t name the school right now – but there’s a student that we can’t find any discipline problem that was an issue.”
