Majorie Taylor Greene, who is going to be the head of a new House subcommittee on government efficiency, stated on Sunday that “sanctuary” cities and states that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities and provide safe havens for illegal immigrants should be required to provide a justification for continuing to receive federal tax dollars.

During an appearance on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo, the Republican from Georgia, who was recently appointed to lead a subcommittee that will collaborate with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, detailed her plans to reduce the amount of money that the government spends.
