THE SIGNAL
On Thursday night, residents of Washington, D.C., reported seeing “mysterious lights” in the sky, which sparked hysteria. Online watchers wondered if these were connected to the government’s recent hearing on UFOs.
Photographs and videos recorded by onlookers who couldn’t believe what they were seeing showed that four bright lights hovered over the U.S. Capitol building in synchrony before a fifth appeared. The sighting occurred just weeks after Congress convened its most recent session on unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP), a catch-all word used by the U.S. government to refer to any sky encounters that are difficult to classify, according to the New York Post. Dennis Diggins, a veteran of the Air Force and a certified tour guide in the city, posted a shocking photo of the four glittering lights silently hovering over the Capitol from the Capitol steps.
