THE SIGNAL

According to court documents released on Monday, the Justice Department has charged a man in relation to the fire of the New Mexico Republican Party headquarters and the damage of a Tesla store.

Jamison R. Wagner, 40, is charged with federal arson in connection with the February incident at a Bernalillo Tesla shop and the fire at the GOP offices last month. Authorities report that two Tesla Model Y cars were set on fire, with graffiti saying “Die Elon” and “Die Tesla Nazi” and swastikas sprayed on the windshields.

Protests at Tesla showrooms have targeted Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, who is leading the Trump administration’s controversial efforts to cut federal agencies, including the Department of Government Efficiency and the federal government workforce.
