Ed Martin, the Trump nominee whose aspirations for higher office were crushed this week, nearly suffered further humiliation when a disturbed liberal woman attacked him during a live TV interview.

Martin, the acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, was commenting on President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw his nomination to permanently fill the role when he was abruptly interrupted and spit on by the enraged woman.

“We need to get serious about–” Martin was saying when he turned to face the commotion off-screen.

“Who the f*** are you?” the woman shouted as she came into view. “You are in my end!” she appeared to shout before spitting on him.
