Trial Date in Trump Classified Docs Case Set for August 14

The trial of Donald Trump has been tentatively set for August 14, 2023, per CNBC. This comes as a judge in Florida has reportedly told former President Donald Trump’s lawyers to not release evidence relating to the classified documents case to the media or public. 

The order comes after prosecutors asked the court to put specific conditions on how the defense stored and used the documents, per Reuters. As a result, US Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart put strict conditions on Trump’s ability to access the materials. 



“The Discovery materials, along with any information derived therefrom, shall not be disclosed to the public or the news media, or disseminated on any news or social media platform, without prior notice to and consent of the United States or approval of the Court,” the order said, which was filed on Monday.
