Newsom Reveals Possible 2028 VP And It’s Absolutely Terrifying

Hunter Biden has once again found himself in the political spotlight after suggesting he would be open to serving as vice president on a presidential ticket headed by California Gov. Gavin Newsom, adding an unexpected twist to growing speculation about the Democratic Party’s future after the Biden era.

According to remarks highlighted by WABC, Hunter Biden indicated that while he has no interest in leading a national ticket himself, he would be willing to join one as a running mate if Newsom were at the top of the ballot.

The comment immediately generated discussion across political circles, social media, and cable news, largely because Hunter Biden remains one of the most controversial and polarizing figures associated with Democratic politics.

At this point, there is no indication that Hunter Biden is organizing a political campaign or taking concrete steps toward seeking elected office. Most political observers view the statement as more provocative than practical, especially given the intense scrutiny that has followed him for years.

Nevertheless, the remark arrives at a time when Democrats continue debating who will emerge as the party’s standard-bearer heading into the 2028 presidential election.

Among the names most frequently mentioned is California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who has steadily built a national profile through appearances on cable news, public debates with Republican governors, and high-profile efforts to promote California’s policies on issues ranging from climate change to healthcare.

Despite his national visibility, Newsom’s path to a potential White House bid remains uncertain.

Recent polling suggests that while some Democratic voters are enthusiastic about the possibility of a Newsom presidential campaign, support is far from universal—even within his home state.

A statewide survey conducted last year found that a majority of California voters, 52 percent, did not want Newsom to seek the presidency. While his approval ratings as governor remain positive overall, many voters appear more comfortable with him continuing to lead California than launching a national campaign.

The results highlight one of the challenges Newsom could face if he ultimately decides to run: translating California success into nationwide appeal.

National elections require candidates to connect with voters across diverse regions, economic backgrounds, and political viewpoints. While Newsom remains popular among many Democrats, Republicans have frequently pointed to California’s struggles with housing affordability, homelessness, taxes, and cost-of-living concerns as potential vulnerabilities.

The same survey found that Californians overwhelmingly described the state’s cost of living as difficult or unmanageable. Concerns about housing costs, utility bills, taxes, and everyday expenses crossed party lines and income levels.

Even many higher-income residents reported feeling financial pressure amid rising living costs.

At the same time, voters generally viewed California favorably when it came to technology, innovation, and cultural influence. More than half also expressed confidence in the state’s environmental policies, illustrating the mixed picture facing any California politician seeking national office.

The survey also provided insight into the broader Democratic field.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris generated significantly less enthusiasm among California voters than Newsom. Fewer than one-third of voters statewide—and less than half of Democrats—said they would like to see Harris pursue another White House campaign.

Independent voters appeared skeptical of both potential candidates, though polling suggested they were somewhat more receptive to a Newsom candidacy than a Harris comeback.

Meanwhile, California’s political landscape continues to evolve ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election. Voters are already beginning to evaluate potential successors to Newsom, though many remain unfamiliar with several candidates currently exploring runs.

Recent primary results saw Democrat Xavier Becerra and Republican Steve Hilton emerge as the top two candidates, setting up a closely watched general election contest later this year.

As for Hunter Biden, his comments are unlikely to reshape the 2028 race anytime soon. However, they have succeeded in drawing attention to the larger conversation already underway inside the Democratic Party: who will lead the party after President Joe Biden, what direction Democrats will take, and whether figures like Gavin Newsom can successfully transition from state leadership to the national stage.

With more than two years remaining before the first votes of the 2028 presidential cycle are cast, much can change. But Hunter Biden’s unexpected remarks have ensured that speculation about the Democratic Party’s future—and Gavin Newsom’s potential role in it—will continue generating headlines.

Fox News Stuns With Announcement About 5 Fired Hosts

Here’s a rewritten version in a news-style format, removing advertisements and tightening the narrative while preserving the quoted statements:

Fox News contributor Jessica Tarlov is facing growing criticism from conservatives after comments she made during a recent discussion about the 2024 presidential election sparked backlash across social media.

During an appearance on *The Five*, Tarlov was discussing the presidential race between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris when she made a remark that critics quickly seized upon.

“This is the chance to put the final nail in the coffin so that you don’t have Donald Trump on the ballot again,” Tarlov said.

The comment immediately generated strong reactions online, with many conservatives arguing that such rhetoric is inappropriate given that Trump has survived multiple assassination attempts in recent months.

Trump was targeted in two separate assassination attempts within a span of roughly 60 days. In addition, California law enforcement officials have claimed deputies disrupted what they believed could have been another threat during a Trump rally in Coachella.

Many on the political right have argued that years of intense political rhetoric portraying Trump as a threat to democracy have contributed to a climate in which violence against the former president has become more likely.

Following Tarlov’s remarks, numerous social media users called on Fox News to take action.

One X user operating under the account name Common Sense Custodian wrote, “Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE to speak like this. She needs to be FIRED immediately.”

Another user, Mark Ivey, commented, “I don’t see why they keep her on The Five. I have to check to see if she or Harold is on every night. She’s the worst.”

Additional critics expressed frustration with both Tarlov and the network.

“This b**ch is why I stopped watching Fox News.”

“These people are vile.”

“Time to fire Jessica or require her to get counseling for her TDS. The violent innuendos are a big turn off to viewers.”

“I couldn’t hate this woman more…one of several reasons won’t watch @FoxNews anymore. Too bad the kids ruined it!”

The controversy comes as Trump continues to argue that inflammatory political rhetoric from his opponents has contributed to the threats against him.

Following the assassination attempts, Trump directly blamed President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for repeatedly characterizing him as a danger to American democracy.

“Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at, when I am the one who is going to save the country and they are the ones that are destroying the country — both from the inside and out,” Trump said in comments previously reported by Fox News Digital.

Questions surrounding the investigations into the assassination attempts have also become a political flashpoint.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has accused federal authorities of obstructing Florida’s independent investigation into the most recent attempt on Trump’s life.

During an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, DeSantis said state investigators encountered resistance when attempting to gather information related to the incident involving suspect Ryan Routh, who was arrested near Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.

“I want to turn to another topic because we were relieved to hear that you are doing your own independent investigation in Florida concerning the second assassination attempt on President Trump,” Ingraham said during the interview. “My question to you tonight is, are the Feds being cooperative with your investigation? Are you concerned that you’re not getting the information you need?”

“The answer is, no, they’re not being cooperative. Yes, I am concerned,” DeSantis responded. “I mean, for example, we were rebuffed. Our investigators were rebuffed just going to the fence line outside of Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.”

As debate over political rhetoric continues, Tarlov’s comments have become the latest flashpoint in an already heated election cycle, with supporters of Trump arguing that public figures should exercise greater caution when discussing a candidate who has been the target of multiple assassination attempts.

Star Disney Actress Dead At Just 35 Years Old

Hollywood is mourning the loss of former child star Daveigh Chase, whose memorable performances in some of the most iconic films of the early 2000s left a lasting impression on an entire generation of moviegoers.

Chase, best known for voicing Lilo in Disney’s beloved animated classic *Lilo & Stitch* and portraying the terrifying Samara Morgan in the horror blockbuster *The Ring*, died Tuesday at the age of 35 following a sudden health battle. According to reports, Chase suffered from meningitis and a severe blood infection that led to septic complications and ultimately caused multiple organ failure. She had reportedly been hospitalized in Los Angeles earlier this month after struggling with malnutrition.

The actress rose to fame at an incredibly young age and quickly became one of the most recognizable child performers of her generation.

In 2002, Chase landed the role that would make her a household name when she voiced Lilo Pelekai in Disney’s *Lilo & Stitch*. The film became a major box-office success and remains one of Disney’s most beloved animated features more than two decades later. Chase later reprised the role for the franchise’s television series, helping introduce the character to an entirely new audience.

That same year, Chase showcased her remarkable range by delivering one of the most memorable performances in modern horror cinema.

As Samara Morgan in *The Ring*, Chase terrified audiences around the world with her chilling portrayal of the mysterious young girl at the center of the film’s supernatural curse. Her performance became an instant cultural phenomenon and earned her the MTV Movie Award for Best Villain. Even today, many horror fans consider Samara one of the most iconic horror characters of the 21st century.

Beyond those breakout roles, Chase built an impressive résumé that extended across both film and television.

She voiced Chihiro Ogino in the English-language version of the Academy Award-winning animated masterpiece *Spirited Away*, another project that remains beloved by fans worldwide. She also appeared in films such as *Donnie Darko* and *Beethoven’s 5th*, while earning television roles on popular programs including *Sabrina the Teenage Witch*, *ER*, *Charmed*, and HBO’s critically acclaimed drama *Big Love*. Her portrayal of Rhonda Volmer on *Big Love* introduced her talents to an older audience and demonstrated her ability to transition beyond child acting roles.

Despite her early success, Chase faced personal struggles later in life. Reports indicate she dealt with significant hardships in recent years and had been battling serious health challenges prior to her death. Her boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, had reportedly launched fundraising efforts to assist with her care as her condition worsened.

News of Chase’s death has prompted an outpouring of grief from fans who grew up watching her work. Many have reflected on the unique impact she had across multiple genres, from family entertainment to horror films.

Few child actors leave behind two characters as culturally significant as Lilo and Samara. One brought joy, friendship, and heart to millions of children around the world. The other delivered nightmares that horror fans still remember decades later.

Chase’s remarkable career demonstrated a versatility rarely seen in young performers. Whether she was bringing warmth and humor to an animated Disney heroine or delivering one of the most chilling performances in horror movie history, she left a lasting mark on audiences around the world.

Daveigh Chase’s career may have begun at a young age, but the performances she left behind ensured that her work would endure long after the cameras stopped rolling. Her passing marks a tragic loss for Hollywood and for the countless fans whose childhoods were shaped by her unforgettable roles. While her life was cut tragically short, her legacy will continue through the beloved characters and memorable performances that made her one of the most recognizable young stars of her generation.
