Delta Force and SEAL Team 6 operators reveal insane dangers of hostage rescue missions

Published

on

Hostage rescue missions are an entirely different beast than anything else on the battlefield.

The United States of America has two Tier One hostage rescue units tasked with conducting these missions:

SEAL Team 6 and Delta Force.

Both units are responsible for conducting the riskiest no-fail missions the military needs done, and both are full of elite operators.

SEAL TEAM 6 MEMBER REVEALS EPIC DETAILS OF OSAMA BIN LADEN RAID

Former SEAL Team 6 operator Chris Fettes joined Brent Tucker – a former Unit operator – on the “Tier1 Podcast” for a wide-ranging interview, and one of the most fascinating parts was the discussion of the absurd stakes of hostage rescue operations.

“They don’t understand when you go on a hostage rescue mission the tactics are not for you. They’re for the hostage. They’re for the hostage,” Tucker explained.

‘BLACK HAWK DOWN’ SNIPER SHINES LIGHT ON BRUTAL REALITY OF VIOLENT COMBAT

“We can take heavies [casualties] and still have a successful hostage rescue. That’s not like a regular op against some regular dude in the network, where if we take heavies that still could be a successful mission. It’s not. It can’t be,” Fettes responded.

The former Delta Force operator continued, “Before a regular mission, generally speaking, I don’t worry about getting hit. I don’t worry about getting killed. It’s just not what I worry about. Before a hostage rescue mission, you just know. You just know the chances of someone taking one is very high … likely. You just hope it’s not lethal and they come back to work, but someone’s getting hit. The chance of someone getting hit is so much higher than any other operation.”

You can watch Tucker and Fettes break it down in the video below starting around 1:16:00, and make sure to let me know your thoughts at [email protected].

Without getting into tactics and what’s different between hostage rescue and regular clearance, Fettes and Tucker hit the nail on the head with the risks.

The only goal of a hostage rescue is to bring the hostage home, and as we know, the enemy gets a vote. It’s an inherently brutally violent and dangerous situation.

Waiting around and backing off target isn’t an option. It’s hit hard, hit fast, crush the bad guys, get the hostage and get out.

Be grateful America has the best operators on the planet, and they are always ready to answer the call when they’re needed. SEAL Team 6 or Delta Force, doesn’t matter. Those two units are next level. Let me know your thoughts at [email protected].

Federal judge in New York ties Trump admin hands on arrests at immigration courts

Published

on

A federal judge on Monday largely blocked U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement from carrying out civil immigration arrests at several Manhattan immigration courthouses, after government lawyers admitted they made a “material mistaken statement of fact” defending the policy in court.

U.S. District Judge P. Kevin Castel ruled ICE officers must temporarily revert to narrower Biden-era restrictions on courthouse arrests while a broader lawsuit proceeds.

The ruling marks a major reversal from Castel’s earlier 2025 decision declining to halt the policy. In March, however, Justice Department lawyers informed the court they needed to correct prior claims that a May 2025 ICE courthouse enforcement memo applied to immigration courts. The government later acknowledged the guidance “does not and has never applied” to immigration courts.

Castel said the reversal justified revisiting the earlier ruling “to correct a clear error and prevent a manifest injustice.”

FEDERAL JUDGE ORDERS MEXICAN MIGRANT SEEKING ASYLUM TO BE RELEASED BY ICE

Immigrant advocacy groups behind the lawsuit argued the Trump administration’s enforcement policies effectively turned mandatory immigration hearings into arrest operations, with migrants allegedly detained by ICE agents immediately after court proceedings.

Castel wrote plaintiffs were likely to succeed in arguing the administration acted arbitrarily and capriciously when it rescinded a 2021 ICE policy restricting courthouse arrests without adequately explaining how the new policy applied to immigration courts.

The judge emphasized the ruling does not fully prohibit courthouse arrests. ICE may still conduct enforcement actions involving national security threats, imminent violence, hot pursuit situations or threats to criminal evidence.

“Today’s ruling is an enormous win for noncitizen New Yorkers seeking to safely attend their immigration court proceedings,” said Amy Belsher, director of immigrants’ rights litigation at the NYCLU.

Fox News Digital reached out to the Department of Homeland Security and ICE for comment but did not immediately receive responses.

Paul McCartney reveals how a ‘happy’ teen hitchhiking trip with George Harrison delivered a shock

Published

on

Paul McCartney shared a humorous memory from his teenage years with fellow Beatle George Harrison involving an electric milk truck — and an unfortunate shock.

During a recent appearance on “The Rest Is History” podcast, McCartney reflected on a hitchhiking trip the pair took as teenagers while traveling toward Wales.

The 83-year-old musician said the experience later inspired part of a song featured on his upcoming album “The Boys of Dungeon Lane,” which is scheduled for release later this month.

McCartney told host Tom Holland that the two accepted a ride from a slow-moving electric “milk float,” a type of delivery vehicle commonly used in Britain at the time.

“Those were the only vehicles we knew that were electric, [and this one] went about four miles an hour,” McCartney said. “But it was a lift, so we were quite happy.”

He said the driver sat on one side of the vehicle, while a large battery occupied the center area between the seats.

George Harrison ended up sitting directly on top of the battery.

Everything appeared normal until Harrison’s jeans accidentally made contact with part of the battery through a zipper on his back pocket.

“Bang! He jumps up,” McCartney recalled, yelling, ‘Ahhh!'”

Turns out “the battery gave him a bolt.”

McCartney said Harrison later showed him the result of the “bolt.” The incident left Harrison with what looked like “a great big zip tattooed into his bum.”

The Beatles star also recalled recently speaking with Harrison’s widow, Olivia Harrison, about the story.

McCartney said she remembered hearing the story differently and believed that he — McCartney — had been the one shocked, not Harrison.

He added that the mix-up showed how memories can change over time.

“I think it’s amazing the way memory does that. It can just morph,” he said.

Harrison died in 2001 at age 58 after a battle with cancer.

The guitarist and songwriter was a member of The Beatles alongside McCartney, John Lennon and Ringo Starr.

McCartney’s upcoming album is called “The Boys of Dungeon Lane” and is set to be released May 29.

Duffy unleashes on Buttigieg with swipe over which admin has accomplished more: ‘Moved like a sloth’

Published

on

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy called his predecessor, Pete Buttigieg, a “sloth” on Sunday while laying out accomplishments under President Donald Trump’s second term through a video interspersed with footage from multiple iconic movies.

“Pete Buttigieg moved like a sloth,” Duffy wrote in a post to X. “I’m moving at the speed of Trump!”

“He did nothing. He spent $80 billion on DEI and on climate change. We did more in one year than the last administration did in all four,” Duffy added.

Like other issues, such as border security, the video from Duffy highlights the Trump administration’s eagerness to use distance from former President Joe Biden as a benchmark for success.

BUTTIGIEG ‘GOT NOTHING DONE,’ DUFFY DECLARES: ‘PETE APPEARS UNBURDENED BY NO LONGER BEING A CABINET SECRETARY’

When approached by Fox News Digital about Duffy’s “sloth” comments, Sean Manning, a spokesperson for Buttigieg, referred reporters to a list of published accomplishments the department reported from 2021-2025.

“Sean Duffy is looking more desperate by the day. The American people would prefer that he do his actual job instead of making up lies on social media or going on a seven-month vacation paid for by the companies he’s supposed to regulate,” Manning said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

In particular, Duffy’s video took aim at Buttigieg’s track record on trucking certification and air travel even as it touted other developments such as clearing the way for “air mobility” vehicles and investments in engineering through the Maritime Academy.

“Buttigieg spent billions of dollars trying to patch together our air traffic control system,” Trump said in one of the clips featured in the montage.

The video, which included Lightning McQueen, the fictional Pixar race car, clips from Marvel’s “Iron Man” and even a scene from “The Terminator,” highlighted the $12 billion in funding for new air traffic controllers included in Trump’s signature Big Beautiful Bill as well as 12,000 applicants that, according to the administration, had set records for interest in air safety work.

DUFFY URGES SENATE TO PASS BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL’S $12.5B AIR TRAFFIC SYSTEM FIX

The video dovetails with announcements from Duffy last week outlining $750 million efforts to replace eight air traffic control towers with “state-of-the-art” facilities. Additionally, Duffy announced an $85.8 million investment to upgrade Federal Contract Towers at 41 airports in 24 states.

But more than improvements to the control centers, Duffy drew attention to ways the administration had bolstered licensing requirements for truckers.

Buttigieg did not enforce the law,” Duffy said. “The wild West era of truck driver training — it’s over.”

DUFFY SAYS ‘TIME’S UP’ FOR NEWSOM AS FEDS WITHHOLD $160M OVER ILLEGAL TRUCKING LICENSES

The video reminded viewers of efforts by the administration to withhold funding from states for lax standards in states like New York and California.

In particular, it recounted how California had removed 17,000 trucker licenses from “dangerous foreign drivers” after Duffy threatened to withhold $160 million in federal funding.

It also highlighted $73 million in withheld funds from New York after the agency found that over 50% of its non-domiciled trucking licenses were issued illegally.

Buttigieg, who served as Transportation secretary in the Biden administration from 2021 to 2025, has been discussed as a potential Democratic candidate for president in 2028.

Before his tenure under Biden, Buttigieg himself ran for president in 2020, but eventually dropped out and endorsed Biden.
