Olympic legend Kaillie Humphries signs with activist sportswear brand XX-XY Athletics amid political rise
The most accomplished Olympic women’s bobsledder in history is now an official brand ambassador in the movement to “save women’s sports”.
Olympic bobsled legend Kaillie Humphries has signed with the activist sportswear company XX-XY Athletics, becoming the latest medal-winning Olympian to represent the brand.
“Being able to partner with a brand that believes in the same things I do, that’s willing to stand up and actively work on protecting the women’s space and women’s sports is huge,” Humphries told Fox News Digital.

Humphries first spoke out about her support for protecting women’s sports from biological male trans athletes in a Fox News Interview that went viral after the Milan-Cortina Olympics in February.
Humphries had just returned after winning bronze in women’s bobsled, marking her sixth career Olympic medal. She later revealed that she received backlash for coming out as a Republican with other conservative stances in that interview, but didn’t back down.
Humphries went on to be honored at a White House Women’s History Month event by President Donald Trump in March, and gave her Order of Ikkos medal to Trump, citing his actions to protect women’s sports.
“Being able to come back to the USA after the Olympics and then be able to make connections and meet some people, I was able to, when I went to the White House, I was able to meet people that were connected obviously in working with XX-XY and that’s how the conversation started,” Humphries said.
Humphries, who is originally from Canada and competed in her first three Olympics for Canada, moved to the U.S. in 2016 and then competed for Team USA at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
Just months after that, America was rocked by the news that male transgender swimmer Lia Thomas was winning championships for UPenn’s women’s swim team.
Humphries, who was following the story in the news, found it startling.
Now, as a California resident and the mother of a newborn son, she is energized to help combat the wave of trans athletes in girls’ sports in the state, as California has become the nation’s biggest hotbed for the issue.
XX-XY Athletics co-founder and former U.S. gymnast Jennifer previously told Fox News Digital one of her biggest goals for the brand was to land high-profile superstar women’s athletes as brand ambassadors, especially Olympic medalists.
Now, with Humphries, the brand has a three-time Olympic gold medalist and six-time Olympic podium finisher across her stints for Canada and the U.S.
Humphries joins Olympic silver medalist gymnast MyKayla Skinner and gold medal swimmer Nancy Hogshead on XX-XY Athletics’ growing roster of Olympians.
“Kaillie is the GOAT of her sport. She is the only Olympian to win gold for two different countries. She is an elite athlete and a courageous, fierce woman who has fought for female athletes to have equal opportunities in sport.” Sey told Fox News Digital.
“The women’s monobob event exists because of Kaillie’s leadership, and she has gold-medal proof that women have the skill, strength, and speed to compete at the highest level. She has driven meaningful change and expanded opportunities for women at the Olympic level — more female athletes represent Team USA because of Kaillie. And that’s exactly why we’re leading with her as we grow in how we support female athletes.”

Trump’s Brand New Attorney General Gets Right To Work Arresting Top Dem
Federal prosecutors have charged Andrea Bradley-Baskin in an alleged conspiracy to steal money from vulnerable and legally incapacitated individuals in the Detroit area.
Authorities also charged Nancy Williams and her fiancé, Dwight Rashad. Prosecutors say the alleged scheme targeted people under guardianship who relied on courts and court-appointed officials to safeguard their finances and property.
Bradley-Baskin was elected to the 36th District Court bench in November 2024. Prosecutors allege she personally benefited from the scheme.
According to investigators, $54,250 connected to the alleged conspiracy was used to rent a nearly $900,000 townhouse in Detroit’s Brush Park neighborhood near Little Caesars Arena.
Prosecutors further allege that more than $29,000 taken from victims was used to rent a home in Westland, Michigan. Property records reportedly show Bradley-Baskin had lived at the Westland residence as early as 2019.
One of the most serious allegations involves Frankie James, who was under the care of a court-appointed guardian. Prosecutors say James’ Detroit home was sold to a company owned by Corey Baskin, the judge’s husband, for one dollar.
The property was later sold for $140,000. If proven, prosecutors argue it would represent the kind of exploitation guardianship systems are meant to prevent.
Another case mentioned in the investigation involves the late Ethel Ciotti. Ciotti’s home was allegedly sold by her court-appointed personal representative, attorney Avery Bradley.
Federal authorities say both Bradley and Bradley-Baskin are under investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Prosecutors have also moved to secure assets allegedly tied to the scheme. Authorities filed a federal lien on an Oak Park office building, indicating it could be forfeited if found connected to bribery or other federal crimes.
In May 2025, prosecutors filed another lien on a home in Southfield, Michigan, that could also be subject to forfeiture. Investigators say those properties may reflect the financial footprint of the alleged conspiracy across metro Detroit.
The FBI has additionally obtained search warrants allowing agents to seize records tied to the care and finances of minors and legally incapacitated people. Those warrants reportedly included records connected to Bradley-Baskin’s legal work in guardianship matters.
Federal investigators are now reviewing those materials as part of the ongoing case.
Cases like this can severely damage trust in the justice system. Guardianship courts are intended to protect people who cannot protect themselves, including elderly individuals, minors, and those who are mentally incapacitated.
If prosecutors prove their allegations, the case would represent not only corruption, but an abuse of a system specifically designed to protect society’s most vulnerable people.
Bradley-Baskin’s 2024 election to the bench also raises questions because, according to the report, the FBI investigation was already underway when voters elected her. Critics argue that voters cannot weigh information that is not publicly available before an election.

USA’s next Ryder Cup captain decided after Tiger Woods turns down offer: report
Jim Furyk is returning as the captain for the United States’ Ryder Cup team next year, The Associated Press reported Friday.
It’s a blast from the past, although not necessarily a positive past – Furyk captained the 2018 team that was shellacked in France, with his captain’s picks combining to go 2-10.
Keegan Bradley captained last year’s team at Bethpage Black, which had an embarrassing first two days but gave a valiant effort at an unprecedented comeback in Sunday singles. They fell just short, 15-13, after entering the day trailing by seven points.

Members of that USA team backed Bradley after their loss, but it appears to be for naught.
Furyk led the Americans to victory as Presidents Cup captain in 2024, and he was said to be a reliable voice as an assistant to Bradley at Bethpage.
Furyk’s 2018 team had issues behind the scenes, too, as Patrick Reed was not happy with being benched twice. He also blamed Jordan Spieth for the two not playing together, which Reed felt could have been successful.
Furyk would be the fourth U.S. captain to get a second chance dating to 1979, considered the modern era of the Ryder Cup, when continental Europe became part of it, along with Davis Love III (2012 and 2016), Tom Watson (1993 and 2014) and Jack Nicklaus (1983 and 1987).

Tiger Woods’ name was floated around for the tournament in Ireland, but he took himself out of consideration shortly following his arrest on March 27. It was not known which way Woods was leaning when his SUV clipped the back of a trailer being pulled by a pickup truck on a residential road in Florida, turning his SUV on its side. Woods was arrested and briefly jailed after Florida authorities determined he was impaired.
Europe has won 11 of the last 15 matches dating to Oak Hill in 1995. Last year, they became the first team to win back-to-back events since they won three straight from 2010 to 2014. It was also the first time a team won on foreign soil since Europe’s Miracle at Medinah in 2012.
Luke Donald will try to become the first captain to win three straight times in September 2027 at Adare Manor. Europe returned all but one player from the 2023 squad to Bethpage, the lone difference between an identical twin brother.
Furyk played in all nine Ryder Cups from 1997 to 2014 before becoming an assistant for the first time in 2016. He’s remained an assistant since 2021.

American journalist Ahmed Shihab-Eldin acquitted on all charges after 52 days detained in Kuwait, family says
Kuwaiti-American journalist Ahmed Shihab-Eldin, who was detained in Kuwait under new security and misinformation laws, has been acquitted on all charges, his family announced on Thursday.
“We are relieved that Ahmed Shihab-Eldin has been found innocent after 52 days in detention,” Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) CEO Jodie Ginsberg said in a statement.
“Ahmed’s freedom and safety remain our topmost priority and we will continue to closely monitor his case,” Ginsberg added.
COMMITTEE TO PROTECT JOURNALISTS DEMANDS KUWAIT RELEASE AMERICAN REPORTER AHMED SHIHAB-ELDIN
Shihab-Eldin was arrested on March 3 in Kuwait, where he was visiting family, and faced charges related to “spreading false information, harming national security, and misusing his mobile phone” – which the CPJ designed to promote press freedoms called “vague and overly broad accusations that are routinely used to silence independent journalists.”
A spokesperson for Shihab-Eldin’s family confirmed Shihab-Eldin was acquitted but declined additional comment until further information is known. He is expected to be released immediately.
On March 2, Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior posted a chilling message warning against photographs or information related to missiles or relevant locations. Khalid Ibrahim, Executive Director of the Gulf Centre for Human Rights, told CPJ that dozens have been arrested since the war began in cases related to freedom of expression.

Kuwait then issued a decree stipulating up to 10 years in jail for anyone who undermines “the prestige of the military or deliberately works toward eroding public trust in them,” according to the Kuwait Times.
Shihab-Eldin, who is known for work at The New York Times, HuffPost, BBC, Al Jazeera, Vice News and other outlets, posted video of a U.S. fighter jet crash near a U.S. base in Kuwait shortly before he was detained.
The State Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
A State Department spokesperson previously told Fox News Digital that the Trump administration “has no higher priority than the safety and security of Americans” and they were aware of reports of Shihab-Eldin’s detention.
“Whenever an American is detained abroad, the Department works to provide consular assistance in accordance with our authorities under U.S. and international law,” the State Department spokesperson added.
The CPJ asked Americans to keep Shihab-Eldin’s situation visible by signing a petition and posting about his detention with the hashtags #freeahmed and #freeahmedeldin and #journalismisnotacrime.
