Trump, First Lady Walk Into Grand Opening — Floored By Stunning Surprise

President Donald Trump made a high-profile appearance Tuesday night at one of Washington’s most iconic cultural venues, attending the opening performance of the hit musical Chicago at the newly renamed Trump-Kennedy Center. The visit marked one of his final appearances at the institution before it is set to close for a sweeping renovation this July.

According to reporting from Associated Press, Trump arrived at the Washington, DC landmark alongside First Lady Melania Trump, drawing attention from both attendees and media alike. The evening also marked a notable milestone for the couple—it was their first joint appearance at the venue since the January 26 premiere of the documentary Melania, as previously reported by Breitbart News.

Trump has made several appearances at the venue in recent years, including attending the opening night production of Les Misérables last summer. But Tuesday’s event carried added weight, coming at a time of significant transformation and controversy surrounding the institution.

The musical Chicago—set in the roaring 1920s—remains one of Broadway’s most enduring productions. Known for its sharp satire, the show explores how the worlds of show business and media can elevate criminals into celebrities, a theme that continues to resonate with modern audiences. As noted in the AP report, the production’s biting commentary on fame and scandal adds an extra layer of intrigue to its staging in the nation’s capital.

The audience greeted the president and first lady with a standing ovation as they took their seats, underscoring the significance of the moment. The beloved production will continue its limited run at the Opera House through April 5, offering theatergoers one of the final opportunities to experience performances at the venue before its temporary closure.

Looking ahead, the center is scheduled to host another major event: the awarding of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor to comedian Bill Maher on June 28—an occasion Trump could potentially attend as well.

Since returning to office in January 2025, Trump has exerted considerable influence over the institution. As the AP report outlines, the Republican president reshaped its leadership by installing a new, handpicked board of trustees. That board subsequently named him chairman and approved the rebranding of the venue to include his name.

These sweeping changes have not come without backlash. The renaming of the center and the decision to close it for two years triggered a wave of cancellations from prominent performers, musicians, and artistic groups, many of whom voiced opposition to Trump’s involvement in the historically prestigious institution.

The controversy has also spilled into the legal arena. Both the name change and the planned closure are currently the subject of ongoing legal proceedings, leaving the future of the Trump-Kennedy Center uncertain even as it prepares to go dark for renovations.

For now, however, the spotlight remains on the stage—where art, politics, and public attention continue to intersect in dramatic fashion.

Trump Demands Fox News To Take ‘Loser’ Host Off The Air

President Donald Trump, while leading the nation through critical challenges including tensions with Iran, took time on Monday night (April 6) to call out two Fox News personalities who have repeatedly pushed unfair narratives against him and his America First agenda: liberal commentator Jessica Tarlov and Fox News Sunday host Shannon Bream.
In a powerful Truth Social post, President Trump demanded accountability at Fox, writing:

“For Fox executives only, take Jessica Tarlov off the air. She is, from her voice, to her lies, and everything else about her, one of the worst “personalities” on television, a real loser! People cannot stand watching her. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Tarlov, a vocal liberal strategist who regularly attacks the Trump administration on Fox News’ The Five, has long frustrated supporters of the President with her one-sided commentary. Last month, President Trump called into The Five during her absence and made his position crystal clear:

“I think your show would be better without her, but who am I to say that? I think it would be a lot better.”
Tarlov responded on X with a snarky jab, claiming:

“Was so bummed to miss the show today! But I definitely would’ve said he’s even inflating his numbers to 42%!”
President Trump also corrected Shannon Bream directly in the same post, setting the record straight on key legislation and demanding fairer hosting:

“Tell Shannon Bream of FoxNews that it’s not the Save Act, it’s the Save America Act, a big difference!
Also, when she insists on having lightweight Democrat Congressmen, such as Jake Auchincloss, on her not very hard hitting show, she should correct them when they spew out Democrat propaganda and lies. She never does! I always close deals, unlike the Dems, and did great with China in every way, also, unlike the Dems!”

President Trump is right to demand better from Fox News. For too long, certain voices on the network have platformed weak Democrat talking points without pushback, undermining the strong leadership and historic accomplishments of the Trump administration—like the record-breaking economy, secure borders, and tough negotiations with China that put America first.

While some on social media rushed to defend Tarlov and criticize the President—with comments like “[Tarlov] lives rent free in his head!” or calling him a “baby”—true patriots understand what’s really happening. President Trump is fighting for the American people every day, and he has every right to call out media figures who distort the truth, spread lies about his record, and fail to deliver balanced journalism.

This isn’t about “controlling” the media—it’s about demanding honesty. The mainstream media’s trust is at historic lows for good reason: endless fake news, biased coverage, and attacks on a President who delivered results like no one else. As White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson correctly noted, these criticisms have “nothing to do with gender” and everything to do with the fact that “the President’s and the public’s trust in the media is at all time lows.”

President Trump has always been a fighter who tells it like it is. Whether battling radical Democrats, deep state bureaucrats, or unfair media personalities, he continues to put America First—and the American people love him for it. Weak voices and liberal hacks on supposedly conservative networks won’t stop the Trump movement. The Save America agenda is winning, and no amount of sniping from the sidelines will change that.
