Trump Just Released Highly-Anticipated Files

The Trump administration on Friday ignited a political and cultural firestorm after releasing a new wave of previously classified government files, videos, photographs, and transcripts tied to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena — the latest chapter in a decades-long mystery that has fueled speculation about UFOs, extraterrestrial life, and what exactly the federal government has been hiding from the American public.

The release, unveiled under President Donald Trump’s newly created Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters — known as the PURSUE program — is being described by administration officials as the beginning of an aggressive transparency campaign unlike anything seen before from Washington.

“The latest UAP videos, photos, and original source documents from across the entire United States government are all in one place – no clearance required,” the White House said in a statement released to Fox News. “While past administrations sought to discredit or dissuade the American people, President Trump is focused on providing maximum transparency to the public, who can ultimately make up their own minds about the information contained in these files.”

The language alone marked a stunning shift from decades of government denials, dismissals, and secrecy surrounding UFO-related material. But it was the content of the files themselves that immediately sent social media into overdrive.

Among the first batch of disclosures were never-before-publicized photographs allegedly captured during the Apollo 12 mission and Apollo 17 mission moon missions. One image, reportedly taken from the lunar surface, appears to show three unexplained glowing objects hovering in the blackness above the moon.

Even more eyebrow-raising were transcripts from Apollo-era communications in which astronauts discussed mysterious objects drifting outside their spacecraft.

“Now we’ve got a few very bright particles or fragments or something that go drifting by as we maneuver,” one operator reportedly told mission control.

“Roger. Understand,” the command center responded calmly.

In another exchange, the descriptions became even stranger.

“There’s a whole bunch of big ones on my window down there – just bright. It looks like the Fourth of July out of Ron’s window,” another operator said.

“Yes. Now you can see some of them in shape. They’re very jagged, angular fragments that are tumbling,” came the reply.

The release also included FBI photographs dated New Year’s Eve 1999 that appear to show dark unexplained objects near U.S. aircraft. No official explanation accompanied the images, fueling even more speculation online.

The administration’s disclosure push follows months of renewed political attention surrounding the UFO issue. Earlier this year, former President Barack Obama reignited debate after discussing extraterrestrial life during a podcast appearance. That prompted Peter Doocy to ask Trump directly whether aliens are real.

Trump responded by accusing Obama of disclosing classified information.

“He gave classified information. He’s not supposed to be doing that,” Trump said. “I don’t know if they’re real or not.”

Days later, Trump announced on Truth Social that he would order agencies to begin identifying and releasing files tied to UAPs, UFOs, extraterrestrial life, and related government programs. Friday’s release appears to be the first major step in fulfilling that promise.

Top administration officials are now framing the effort as a historic break from the secrecy of prior administrations.

Pete Hegseth said the Defense Department is “in lockstep” with Trump’s push for transparency.

“These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation, and it’s time the American people see it for themselves,” Hegseth said.

Tulsi Gabbard echoed that message, calling the disclosures the beginning of an “ongoing joint declassification and release effort” involving the intelligence community and the Pentagon.

Meanwhile, Kash Patel praised the move as “a landmark release of UAP records,” while Jared Isaacman said NASA supports releasing as much information as possible without jeopardizing national security.

“At NASA, our job is to bring the brightest minds and most advanced scientific instruments to bear, follow the data, and share what we learn,” Isaacman said. “Exploration and the pursuit of knowledge are core to NASA’s mission as we endeavor to unlock the secrets of the universe.”

Whether the files ultimately confirm anything extraordinary remains unclear. Skeptics argue that unexplained does not automatically mean extraterrestrial, while supporters of disclosure insist the government has concealed information from the public for decades.

But one thing is already certain: Washington has officially reopened one of the most controversial and fascinating debates in modern American history — and the Trump administration says this is only the beginning.
